Night Life in Mazatlan

Mazatlan is filled with plenty of daily attractions and activities for visitors to do and see, but when the sun goes down, the night comes alive with its own excitement and entertainment, allowing tourists to experience a whole other side of Mazatlan that is as thrilling as it is unique.

You will find different nighttime activities to enjoy throughout the city.  Regardless if you are looking for a more authentic Mexican experience with sonorous tambora bands or mariachi groups, or are seeking modern day nightclub entertainment, there are many establishments that will provide you with exactly what you want.

Mazatlan’s nightlife reputation is considered to be top class with live entertainment, dancing and drinking that can be found at the various clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels throughout the city.  That said, the prime nightlife hotspot of Mazatlan is Fiesta Land, which is located within the Golden Zone (Zona Dorada), the chief tourist area of the beautiful Mexican city.

Best Nightlife Spots in Mazatlan

Fiesta Land is located at the south end of the Golden Zone and is distinguished by its showy white castle, which houses several of Mazatlan’s most popular clubs.  Within its famous walls you will find the following disco and dance establishments:

Bora Bora Beach Club – if you want to party all night until after the sun rises, Bora Bora dance bar and beach club is the place you want to be.  Here you will find a unique indoor beach party where you have the freedom to dance in the open air, in high cages and even on top of the bar.

Valentino’s Disco Club – considered by many to be the Fiesta Land’s most famous nightclub, Valentino’s is a place where you’ll find three dance floors alive with the best Latin and hip-hop music, an open bar on the weekends, as well as some of the best special effects, including sound, smoke and laser beam machines.

Sumbawa Beach Club – visitors looking for an experience that’s a little on the wild side will love the unique atmosphere of Sumbawa, the club that’s situated on a cliff and overlooks the ocean.  It’s the perfect place to dance, take a dip in the pool, have a drink at the pool bar, or lounge on a comfortable mattress.

It is important to note, however, that while many of the other clubs and discos in the city do not typically have a cover charge, the clubs at Fiesta Land do.

In addition to clubs, Fiesta Land is also home to restaurants, such as Pepe’s & Joe and the Bali Hai, as well as bars like Miknos (piano bar) and Canta bar (karaoke bar).  It’s always a party in Fiesta Land, with most of its establishments open well into the early hours of the morning.

Other notable nightlife hotspots in the Golden Zone are:

El Caracol – an awesome disco located at El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel, El Caracol is equipped with three stories of music and video screens and special optical effects.  This club even features themed nights, such as karaoke, disco and Latin, among others.

Senor Frog’s –this is a fun and one-of-a-kind restaurant and bar experience.  Senor Frog is a lively establishment that welcomes people of all ages to enjoy international cuisine, lively music and tequila shots.

Mango’s – a popular dance club and restaurant among Mazatlan locals, Mango’s is a lively joint where you can mingle with many of the city’s party goers.

Other fantastic places that offer exhilarating and memorable nightlife experiences in Mazatlan include: Joe’s Oysters Bar, Latitude 123, The Old Broadway Café, La Herradura, Makira, and Gringo Lingo.
